After warming up our tummies with the Sarawakian Tomato Cantonese Fried Noodles at Cafe Cafe Plaza Song, my mate and I set off with some friends to a famous seafood village located right in the middle of a kampungA village in the evening.
The restaurant is called Muara Tebas Seafood.
There is a famous 200-year-old Taoist Temple located on a hill right next to the village but unfortunately since it was already late in the evening, we had to skip visiting this temple.
Our generous hosts ordered several dishes which made us put aside the memories of our disastrous food adventures on the first day in Kuching.
Our hosts ordered :-
- Fresh Coconut Water
- Steamed Shrimps with Garlic Ginger Scallion
- Sweet and Sour Deep Fried Fish
- Clams in Ginger and Chive Clear Broth
- Fried Water Spinach with Eggs
- Cockles (Lala)
- Crab
- Oysters (bought from Penang)
And the verdict was…
A meal fit for the Royals…leading to a few extra kilos of weight in the tummies!
For those planning to come to this place, I suggest shredding a few kilos of weight by paying a little visit to the Taoist temple mentiond earlier, to enjoy the view before going all out for the meal.
